Had a good sunday as well in Vassiliki. Arrived 2 ish with Andy M Chris and Dave. After briefing and safety stuff - with XC showing nothing, incredibly everyone knew there would be wind. It kicked in 4.0 spot on F5 flat water off the mountain. After faffing with choices most changed to 5 ish and I went 6 ish 121 Futura and it was brilliant.
Didn't quite suss the runs till pack up time and my elbow was killing me. Dosed up with Ibropro and stayed.
Wierd wind off the mountain. You reach straight along side the mountain then coming back in you bear off across the bay flat out, fantastic.Wind turned off instantly at 7.0, lucky thing I was on the way in, but loads of rescue boats anyway.
Took me a little while to sus the runs, but next time.
Chris Andy and Dave all had good sails, probably 30 people here so plenty of gear choice. Water warm (took too hot wetsuit) temp same as UK in summer when good.
Welcome meal buffet / free wine all night for 16 yoyo's went down well.
Tuition stuff bikes all action today but not sure if I can be bothered as elbow niggles and just want to chill. Andy dont snore either :)
Neilsons are very good and Stelios and Tom and the rest of the staff are very very friendly and welcoming. Had a free upgrade on the plane to wide - result. But have a shit room 301 with mountain view and not sea (304/5/6)
Wifi in resturant only which is a pain, you have to wake up :) great place to sail though...
4 stars cos the wind didnt last long
